To equip believers by providing a loving community in which to grow, preaching of the gospel, teaching regarding our Lord Jesus Christ and demonstration of the Spirit of God.
The Acts Now Fellowship recognizes God's desire for "all men to be saved, and come unto a knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:4). Therefore our mission is to help those who desire to have an accurate knowledge of God's Word, so that they may be saved and live a more than abundant life.
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
II Peter 1:20 and 21:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the holy ghost.
II Timothy 2:15:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Christianity means many different things to many people. Regardless of what people say, the most important thing is what does God say about becoming a Christian.
We discover in the KJV of the Bible that the word "Christian" is used only 3 times. In Acts 26:28, King Agrippa, after hearing the salvation message of Jesus Christ, declares to the apostle Paul: "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." How does one become a Christian?
The truth on becoming a Christian is responding to what God wrought through His son the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ paid the price for the redemption of all people:
Romans 3:22-24:
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
A person's act on becoming a Christian is to "...confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9).
God has lovingly provided a means for all people to have an eternal relationship with Him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). The key that opens the door to have this relationship is believing on the lord Jesus Christ. "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13).
Romans 10:9:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Why the need of a redeemer to obtain salvation and an eternal life relationship with God?
In the beginning, God made man a 3-fold being. Body ("…formed man of the dust of the ground…" Genesis 2:7); Soul ("…breathed into the nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7); Spirit ("…make man in our image…" Genesis 1:26). "God is a Spirit…" (John 4:24). So, God made man to have spirit. Now the first man was whole: body, soul, and spirit.
God purposed man to have spirit because He is spirit and He had the desire to fellowship with him. God’s whole purpose for the creation is to have fellowship with His man.
